WTS Maine Scholarship

High School Applicants-
The minimum criteria for selection are:
a) Applicant must be a female high school senior in the State of Maine or must have
graduated from a high school in the State of Maine within the last year.
b) Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
c) Currently studying math, science, and technology.
d) Considering a career in a transportation-related field.

Undergraduate Applicants-
The minimum criteria for selection are:
a) Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
b) Currently enrolled in an undergraduate two-year or four-year degree program in the State of Maine and in a transportation-related field, such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, or logistics.
d) Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field.
Scholarship Amount: $1,000-$3,000
Application Process:

Applications must be submitted through the local WTS – Maine Chapter. Scholarships are competitive, and selection is based on the applicant’s specific transportation goals, academic record, and transportation-related activities or job skills.
Mail or email the completed application along with official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal statement to the address shown on the application. Application is also available by emailing ypeng@vhb.com.

This year WTS – Maine Chapter is offering up to three High School Scholarships in the amounts of $1,000 to $2,000. One award will be reserved for a minority applicant. Recipients will also receive a complimentary WTS membership.

This year WTS – Maine Chapter is offering up to three Undergraduate Scholarships in the amounts of $1,500 to $3,000.  The scholarship is open to women who are enrolled at a community college, technical/trade school, or university and are pursuing two-year or four-year degrees and planning a career in transportation.
