Kennebec Valley Community College Foundation Scholarship

Students planning to enroll at KVCC who have financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
Some scholarship funds give priority consideration to students living in Albion or Somerset County, or having graduated from Lawrence High School, or having been employed or being a descendent of someone previously employed at Dexter Shoe or Marden’s.
Scholarship Amount: Varies, $100-3,500, average award is $700.
Application Process:

Applications are available online http://www.kvcc.me.edu/Pages/Foundation/ScholarshipFunds or in person from the KVCC Financial Aid Office. Applicants must complete a FAFSA prior to submitting the scholarship application. The completion of a FAFSA prior to May 1st is strongly encouraged. Awards are based upon program of study, number of credits enrolled, and financial need. Students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. Awards may be given in the first semester or upon successful completion of first semester at the discretion of the KVCC Foundation. Students from all programs of study are encouraged to apply. All recipients will be required to write a thank you letter.

Priority consideration is given to students submitting an application prior to August 15th of the award year. Late applications are reviewed on a funds available basis.
