GEAR UP Maine RISE Scholarship (GU ME RISE)
GEAR UP Maine RISE provides FAME with a list of students who completed the GEAR UP Maine RISE Program with the following schools:
Class of 2024 Participating Schools:
- Maine Academy of Natural Sciences
- MSAD 54 Skowhegan High School
- MSAD 4 Piscataquis High School
- MSAD 13 Upper Kennebec Valley High School
- RSU 84 East Grand School
- MSAD 20 Fort Fairfield High School
- RSU 89 Katahdin High School
- Stearns High School
Class of 2025 Participating Schools:

Scholarship must be used by age 22 for full-time or at least half-time undergraduate program at an eligible school located in Maine or the United States. Award amounts will be prorated based on attendance. If the full award is not used within a given year of enrollment, the balance of the award can be disbursed for a subsequent year of enrollment. Disbursement is made directly to the institution of higher education.
In order to receive the scholarship, qualified students must submit the GEAR UP Maine RISE Information Confirmation form.
Connect with the GEAR UP Maine RISE Specialist at your high school to complete a GEAR UP Maine RISE survey. If you completed a GEAR UP Maine RISE program and did not submit a survey prior to finishing high school, please email FAME or call 207-623-3263, option 5, after you’ve graduated from high school and before your 22nd birthday to get an Information Confirmation form.
