The Friends of Parsons Memorial Library will award one $250 scholarship to support post-secondary study in college, professional or trade school, or any other post-secondary training or opportunities. The applicant must be an Alfred resident, a patron of the Parsons Memorial Library, and be graduating from high school/completing their secondary education. Applications available in the school guidance office or at the Parsons Memorial Library. Submit application and essay to Parsons Memorial Library, 27 Saco Rd, Alfred, ME 04002, or deliver it to the library in a sealed envelope marked: Scholarship Selection Committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified in late May. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient for use towards books or other valuable tools for future learning or work.
