Cumberland County Retired Educators Association

Applicants must be a resident of Cumberland County, enrolled as education major, who has completed at least one semester.
Scholarship Amount: Two $2,000.00 scholarships
Application Process:

The application must include:

A completed application form
A complete updated transcript of all college work
A short essay stating the reasons you have chosen the education profession
Three (3) written character references, names and addresses included, from two (2) current professional and one (1) personal acquaintances. Please do not email references.
A wallet-size photo.

Please send your completed application to the Scholarship Committee by March 15. The committee will review your application carefully.

Scholarships will be announced at the May CCREA meeting. Recipients will be notified before this meeting, and will be invited with their parents to attend the May meeting. The scholarship checks will be sent directly to the recipients by Certified Mail, prior to the fall semester of the ensuing year.

Application Opening Date: Any time before March 1.
