How Does the Maine Transfer ME Program Work?
Transfer ME is a pathway available to Maine Community College System (MCCS) students who wish to further their education at a University of Maine System (UMS) school. Transfer ME bypasses traditional transfer admissions processes including essay writing, application forms and fees, and the submission of test scores and recommendations. Graduates from select UMS-MCCS transfer pathway programs are automatically admitted to one (or more) of Maine’s public universities based on academic performance and progress. Additionally, academic advisors at the MCCS and UMS schools work together on joint advising to make the transition as smooth as possible.
