Beth Bordowitz, FAME’s General Counsel, has been appointed by Governor John E. Baldacci to serve as Acting Chief Executive Officer.
She has been with FAME since 1989, most recently as General Counsel for the past twelve years. Prior to joining FAME's legal division in March 1989, Beth was associated with a Portland law firm. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers College and Rutgers University, respectively, and is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law-Camden.
The Finance Authority of Maine is overseen by a fifteen member Board of Directors that has the following makeup:
Members of the FAME board are appointed by the Governor and are subject to review and confirmation by the State Legislature. Each member, other than the State members, serves for a term of four years. The Authority's Chief Executive Officer is appointed by the Governor, subject to review and confirmation by the Maine State Legislature, to supervise and direct the administrative and technical activities of the Authority on a day-to-day basis.
